The Amici Podisti Bresciani Group has recently elected its top athletes for 2024, in an event scheduled for Friday, January 24, at 8:45 PM in the “Gabre Gabric” hall in Sanpolino. The jury, composed of 20 industry experts including club presidents and journalists, selected the winners from a pool of 16 men and 20 women, honoring Monica Vagni and Davide Bottarelli for their outstanding performances throughout the year. Both athletes have previously won this recognition, with Vagni repeating her success from 2023 and Bottarelli from 2022.
In this fourth edition of the sports awards, the group has also decided to present two special awards: one to the San Rocchino Sports Club for its long history of 54 years of activity, and the other to Andrea Pini, an athlete born in 1939, who is still active in the M80 category. Pini will participate in the Puegnago cross-country event on Sunday, demonstrating that commitment to sports transcends generations.
