A suicide attempt occurred in the icy waters of Lake Garda, where a man tried to take his own life by jumping into the water. The incident happened during a surveillance operation conducted by two naval units of the Guardia di Finanza from Salò, who promptly intervened to rescue the unfortunate individual. Fortunately, law enforcement was able to retrieve him before the situation worsened.
The man, found in a state of shock and already suffering from hypothermia, received immediate assistance on board the vessel. He was later transported to the hospital for appropriate care, thus avoiding a potential tragedy. The circumstances that led to this extreme act are currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
