The Grade 1 Dragon Italian Grand Prix, a sailing event dedicated to Dragon boats, will take place in Riva del Garda. The International Dragon Association, founded in 1961, is the organization that oversees this class of boats internationally.

Social events related to the event, such as the Gala Dinner and the awards ceremony, will also be organized.

Active since October 1961, the International Dragon Association is now led by President Poul Richard Høj Jensen and boasts active fleets in thirty-five countries and five continents, involving the big names in international sailing.
The numbers and technical level will be well represented at this prestigious event organized by Fraglia Vela Riva and supported by Yanmar. Over thirty-five crews from nine countries will be present, with the furthest being from Japan.
Among the buoys, the reigning world champions 1Quick1, who won the world title in Bodrum last year, will not be missing. Fever, the winner of the 2022 world title in Kuhlungsborn, will also be present.
The format of the event includes a maximum of eight races spread over four days. The program of social events related to the event is also packed, with the highly anticipated Gala Dinner scheduled for Friday evening at Spiaggia degli Ulivi and the awards ceremony expected on Saturday afternoon.
