Sirmione is preparing to celebrate the **International Women’s Day** with a significant event aimed at highlighting the invisible challenges faced by women in contemporary society. On March 7, 2025, at 9:00 PM at the Municipal Library, a special evening will take place organized by the students of the Trebeschi Secondary School, who will present the project “The Invisible Challenges of Women.”
An Initiative of the “Passi di Donna” Program
This year, the event is part of the broader “Passi di Donna” program, now in its fifth edition, thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Sirmione. The aim is to stimulate deep reflection on **gender stereotypes**, which remain deeply rooted in our culture and can negatively influence both the professional and personal lives of women.
The Contribution of the Students
Students from classes 3A and 3B have embarked on a creative journey to tackle these complex issues. Through the production of two videos, the students will explore the difficulties women may encounter in the workplace, particularly in traditionally “male” sectors. These fields are often characterized by disparities in professional opportunities and the recognition of women’s skills.
An Evening of Music and Awareness
The project presentation will feature an engaging mix of music, words, and images, designed to raise awareness not only among classmates but also among families and the entire community about current gender-related issues. Participation in the event is free, but it is strongly recommended to reserve a spot to ensure attendance.
With this initiative, Sirmione demonstrates its commitment to fostering greater awareness of issues related to gender stereotypes and the recognition of women’s rights.
