An important agreement has been signed between Federalberghi Garda Veneto and Webiotech, a company specializing in water treatment, to ensure safe water in the Garda area. The initiative was launched in response to the recent norovirus outbreak in Torri del Benaco, highlighting the need to improve the quality of water used in both tourist facilities and private homes. The president of Federalberghi, Ivan De Beni, emphasized the importance of water safety, stating that the new technology “PEF (Pulsed Electric Field)” implemented by Webiotech will allow for the elimination of harmful bacteria such as legionella without compromising the chemical characteristics of the water.
The adopted system not only reduces risks related to bacterial contamination but is also designed to be eco-friendly and energy-efficient. This collaboration aims to ensure high standards in water resource management, thereby addressing regulatory requirements and the expectations of guests at accommodation facilities around Lake Garda. Through this initiative, an additional safeguard against contaminants is intended, promoting a more responsible use of drinking water.
