A tourist has gone missing in the waters of Lake Garda after diving from a boat near Gargnano. The incident occurred on June 22nd, when some Austrian tourists noticed a person in distress who then disappeared into a depth of over 200 meters, about 350 meters from the shore. Immediately alerted, rescuers from the Coast Guard and Fire Department intervened with naval vessels and helicopters to initiate the search.
Currently, the operations continue relentlessly with the use of specialized divers and advanced equipment, including resources from Milan. The missing tourist’s boat has been transferred to the port of Gargnano, while the police are gathering testimonies from witnesses to reconstruct what happened. Authorities hope to find the missing person as soon as possible through the joint efforts of the rescue teams.
