Starting from August 14, the municipality of Tremosine has officially launched a Tourist Medical Service to ensure healthcare assistance for non-resident visitors. This initiative has been made possible through a collaboration between the ASST del Garda and the local administration, addressing the needs of the tourist population that frequents the area.
Service Details
The service is free and aims to provide first aid interventions, medical consultations, and prescriptions. The decision to implement this service was influenced by requests from Mayor Battista Girardi, who had urged a review of the initial decision not to activate the medical service for the summer of 2024. This need is particularly felt in an area like Tremosine, which experiences a significant increase in tourist presence during the summer season, with only one general practitioner available to meet the healthcare needs of both residents and visitors.
Useful Information
The new medical service will be operational on the days and at the times communicated through an informational poster distributed throughout the area. This service represents a concrete response to the healthcare needs of visitors, helping to ensure a safer and more pleasant stay in the picturesque setting of Lago di Garda.
