The provincial council has announced the opening of applications to become a mountain guide in Trentino, with the aptitude test scheduled for April and May 2025. This selection process will allow a maximum of 40 candidates to access the training courses necessary to obtain the professional qualification, which is essential for promoting sustainable tourism in the region. The tourism assessor, Roberto Failoni, emphasized that these professionals are crucial for enhancing the experience of hikers and conveying the cultural and natural heritage of the area.
Applications must be submitted exclusively in digital format by March 26, 2025, through the portal of the Autonomous Province of Trento. The aptitude test will include technical-practical exams and a written test to assess skills in orientation, hiking preparation, and knowledge of the territory. The subsequent training program consists of approximately 500 hours of mandatory theoretical and practical lessons.
