Transport Allowance Lombardy: New Contributions for Commuters on the AV Milan-Brescia-Desenzano Route. The Lombardy Region has approved a new allocation of up to 300,000 euros to support resident citizens who purchase integrated High-Speed (AV) train subscriptions along with local public transport. This contribution, proposed by the Councillor for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Franco Lucente, is applicable to subscriptions purchased from March 2025 to February 2027, with resources allocated between the years 2026 and 2027. Users can receive a monthly reimbursement ranging from 10 to 90 euros, depending on the type of subscription and the chosen route.
Lucente emphasized the importance of this initiative in providing financial support to High-Speed travelers, promoting the integration of regional railway services. Eligible subscriptions include those that integrate with the Lombardy regional railway service, urban services, and those linked to the IVOL program ‘Io Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardia’ (I Travel Everywhere in Lombardy). Applications for the ‘Transport Allowance’ can be submitted every six months, in April and October, until April 2027 through the online platform of the Lombardy Region.
