A contribution of up to 90 euros per month will be available for commuters who use high-speed rail services (AV) on the Milan-Brescia-Desenzano/Peschiera route and have integrated subscriptions with regional and local public transport. The Lombardy Regional Council has approved a resolution that extends the contribution called ‘Dote Trasporti’ for subscriptions purchased from March 2024 to February 2025, allocating a maximum budget of 400,000 euros for the two-year period.
The aim of this measure is to promote integration between regional rail services and high-speed rail, thereby reducing costs for commuters. The regional transport councillor emphasized the importance of enhancing public rail transport and its interconnection with road transport, offering users the opportunity to travel according to their needs.
The contribution ranges from 10 to 90 euros per month, depending on the type of subscription and the chosen route. The eligible subscriptions for the contribution include ‘Unico Rail’ AV subscriptions, ‘Monthly High-Speed with regional extension’ subscriptions, ‘Integrato Full’ subscriptions (which also include local bus transport), and previous subscriptions combined with IVOL ‘Io Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardia’.
The contribution can be requested every 6 months through the ‘Bandi e Servizi online’ platform of the Lombardy Region, during the specified windows in October 2024 and April 2025. This measure aims to support commuters and promote the use of public rail transport in the Lombardy region.
