The Forra Road in Tremosine remains closed due to concerning results from recent stability monitoring of the slope. During a meeting held today at Palazzo Broletto, the President of the Province of Brescia, Emanuele Moraschini, and the provincial councilor responsible for roadways, Paolo Fontana, announced that the current trend does not allow for a safe reopening. Updated data as of April 16 shows a constant movement of the ground, with a deformation of 9 mm over the last three weeks, making the anticipated reopening for Easter impossible.
The closure of the provincial road began in December 2023 following a significant landslide near the Brasa stream, which resulted in thousands of cubic meters of rock falling into the lake. This situation forces residents to use winding alternative routes to access essential services, increasing the difficulty of reaching work and schools. Technicians will continue to monitor the situation in the coming days to assess any developments.
