The Circolo Vela Toscolano Maderno celebrated sailing champion Giulia Conti in a ceremony held on October 30, 2024. Conti is recognized as the only woman to win the Women’s America’s Cup on Luna Rossa, triumphing against the English crew in Barcelona.
During the event, federal councilor Domenico Foschini presented a tribute on behalf of the president of the Italian Sailing Federation, Francesco Ettorre, expressing the congratulations and gratitude of all Italian sailors for her extraordinary success. The evening was attended by the club president Alcide Morani and councilors Emanuele Carbonelli, Vincenzo Festa, and Claudio Morani.
