The project for a tunnel that will bypass the Gardesana, connecting Toscolano to Salò, is taking shape thanks to the initiative of the president of the Alto Garda Bresciano Mountain Community, Franceschino Risatti. Today, a meeting was held at the Mountain Community headquarters in Villa di Gargnano with Giulio Maternini, a transport expert from the University of Brescia, to discuss the possibilities of creating a rapid transport system that would alleviate traffic on the 45 bis road. This project aims to resolve the long queues that have plagued the area for decades.
Additionally, the head of the council group, Giovanni Ciato, presented a motion in Salò to establish building restrictions around the entrances of the future Tormini-Toscolano tunnel. The goal is to ensure open spaces free from construction to facilitate access to the tunnel and support the tourist and economic development of the Brescia Riviera of Lake Garda. An official meeting with Anas and the Province of Brescia is scheduled for September 19, where further progress on the project will be analyzed.
