The city of Verona is preparing for a significant enhancement of its housing offer for university students, thanks to funding of over 9 million euros obtained by ESU Verona from the Ministry of University and Research. This investment will be allocated to the renovation of the former Convent and Student House of the Ursuline Sisters, located on Via Don Mazza. The project aims to create 128 new accommodations, thus addressing the growing demand from students.
The regional assessor for education, Valeria Mantovan, expressed satisfaction with the achieved result, emphasizing the importance of the project in ensuring the right to education and providing support to deserving students who lack financial means. In addition to the state funding, an additional 3 million euros has been set aside by the Regional Agency for the Right to University Education. The work is expected to be completed in the coming months, contributing to an improved quality of university life in the city.
