Recent sightings of wolves have been reported in the area of Costermano sul Garda, raising concerns among residents and local authorities. Two specimens were spotted by passersby in Gazzoli, a district of Costermano, and near Valdoneghe, a locality in Rivoli. Witnesses filmed and photographed the animals as they ran through the vineyards, crossing the road and heading towards another vineyard close to a residence. This event was documented by four individuals who were returning home by car from Caprino.
The sighting, which occurred in recent days, marks the first recorded case in Gazzoli; however, it is not an isolated incident, as a pair of wolves had also been seen in the Maoni Bassi area the day before. The report was promptly forwarded to the mayor, who informed the relevant authorities to monitor the situation regarding the wildlife in the region.
