On the occasion of the World Kidney Day, which will take place on March 13, 2025, the Nephrology and Dialysis Unit of ASST del Garda is organizing an important nephrological screening initiative at the Il Leone shopping center in Gardone Riviera. From 9 AM to 5 PM, nephrologists and nurses will be available to provide free blood pressure measurements, urine tests, and a brief nephrological assessment. During the event, informational materials will be distributed, and individuals with positive results will be encouraged to undergo further checks.
Kidney diseases affect about 10% of the population without frequently showing symptoms, making early diagnosis crucial for proper prevention. Ester Mariagrazia Costantino, director of the Complex Structure of Nephrology and Dialysis at ASST Garda, emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regularly monitoring vital parameters. Angela Berto, Director of the Il Leone Shopping Center, expresses satisfaction in hosting this initiative aimed at raising community awareness about kidney health.
